Assistant County Agent Is Selected

Barry Carr, native of Somerset county, has been named an assistant county agent for Garrett county. He will do adult extension work, spending a large portion of his time with the rural development program.

His salary will come from Federal funds since this county was named a year or two ago as a pilot county in promoting the rural development program in the United States.

Mr. Carr was a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, receiving his degree Saturday in agricultural extension work.
