Josiah Quincy, (the man who is so severely lashed by Gen. King,) is notorious for his violent opposition, in Congress and in his own state legislature, to every measure calculated to secure the rights and independence of our country, as well as for his extreme political violence and malignity.
It will be remembered that this same Quincy, a few years since, made a motion in the House of Representatives of the United States, to impeach the President--on the poor wight could not find another mad-cap like himself, in that whole body, to second his absurd proposition.
This, however, tallies very well with his recent modest request, that the President of the Massachusetts senate should leave his seat, because he very justly censured his impertinence and folly.]-Ed. Rep.
