Full Text
We are pleased to hear from our brilliant and gifted friend Will Hubbard-Kernan again. This time he is editor of a new daily paper in St. Louis, Mo., called the New Order. While the editorial columns do not teem with the fierce and fiery writings for which Mr. Kernan is so celebrated, there is that same characteristic style, the same cutting wit and withering sarcasm that is wont to flash from the Damascus blade of his fluent and ready pen in a manner that is peculiar and original with him. While not always agreeing with him the Gold Leaf is an admirer of Mr. Kernan and his writings, and is glad to be in communication with him again. He is a man of unquestioned genius, depth of thought and an originality that is really picturesque in its character.
