CITIZENS OF PAWHUSKA OFFER REWARD FOR MURDERER
Pawhuska, May 27. - A reward of $1,500 has been raised by popular subscription and has been offered for the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who shot and killed James S. Shelley, city marshal of Pershing, Okla., and deputy sheriff of Osage county. The shooting occurred May 11, when Shelley apprehended two men in the act of breaking into a box car in the yards at Pershing.
The reward will be paid through H. M. Freas, sheriff of Osage county.
