SOUTH CAROLINA ELECTIONS.

St. Mathews. Representative—Dr. R. H. Goodwyn.
Lexington. Senate—Benj. Hart. Representatives—H. J. Caughman and Henry Arthur.
Kershaw. Senate—James Chesnut. Representatives—Wm. M'Willie, James Lang and W. O. Nixon.
Fairfield. Senate—A. F. Peay. Representatives—Buchanan, Kirkland, Lyles and Player.
Newberry. Senate—Higgins. Representatives—J. J. Caldwell, Jno. Caldwell, Heller and Herbert. The lowest Free Trade candidate received 128 votes, and the highest Submission 137.
Charleston. Senate—Henry Deas. Representatives—Elias Horry, H. L. Pinckney, B. F. Dunkin, J. F. Mintzing, M. J. Keith, Henry Horlbeck, J. E. Holmes, Edward Frost, W. P. Finley, Jas. Ferguson, Jno. Bryan, Ker Boyce, R. B. Smith, E. R. Laurens, Arthur Middleton.
They succeeded by a majority of 155 votes over the Union ticket.
Greenville. Senate—Stone. Representatives—Harrison, Berry and Cobb.
Laurens. H. C. Young, J. Irby, T. F. Jones and Jno. F. Kern.
Claremont. Representatives—James Rembert, Robert J. Brownfield, John J. Potts.
The lowest on the Free Trade beat the highest on the Union ticket 272 votes.
In Orange Parish the free trade ticket succeeded by a majority of 10 to 1. In Edgefield, by a majority of 1019. In Chester by a majority of 200. In Abbeville, by 450.
