NEW ORLEANS, La. Sept. 1,
(Pacific Coast News Bureau). —The expansion of the Saenger Amusement Co. of New Orleans thru their invasion into Oklahoma and Texas territory thereby increasing their theatre holdings by over 100 additional houses will undoubtedly give increased outlet for Race film productions in this territory.

Opens New Field

While no announcement has been made as to what provisions will be made to care for the colored trade, it can reasonably be assumed that in a territory so rich in possibilities for profitable patronage to colored attractions under favorable conditions, the Saenger Company will not overlook any opportunity to capitalize such a situation.

The Saenger Company have heretofore confined their operations to Louisiana and Mississippi, providing in several cities within these states first class movie theatres for colored patronage. In Oklahoma at present, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Muskogee are the only cities having first class accommodations for colored attractions. In Texas, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio offer the best accommodations such as might be classed as first run houses for Race film attractions.

The merger of the Dent-Musselman and Robb & Rowley circuits with the Saenger interests give the Saengers theatre holdings in the following towns: Wichita Falls, El Paso, Paris, Corpus Christi, Laredo, Breckenridge, Bonham, Sweetwater, San Angelo, Texarkana, Del Rio, Robstown, Ranger, Eastland, Hillsboro, Ellis, Palestine, Big Springs, Amarillo, Sherman, McKinney, Vernon and Abilene in Texas. In Oklahoma are included the cities of Muskogee, Vinita and Claremore.
