The Commissioners met Thursday afternoon, August 5th, and O. I. Blackwell, representing the Delaware Bay Short Line Railroad, asked for a permit to open streets and lay water pipes commencing at the northeast corner of Montgomery and Susquehanna avenues and using such streets as would convey said water pipe to Wildwood harbor where it is to be used by the fishermen who land at that point, to wash their fish. The railroad company will make the improvement and guarantee to replace all breaks in streets. Permission was granted and a permit issued. City Clerk Whitesell submitted his report for the month of July, 1915, as follows: Fines, $90.75; fire, North Wildwood (3 calls), $75; rents, $50; licenses, $1355.60. Total receipts, $1571.35. Electrical inspector Kalbach reported 14 certificates issued and 15 permits granted with $33 collected. Plumbing Inspector James C. Wigham reported issuing 8 permits and collecting $13. A note was made for $2,500, payable at the Union Bank, same to be used to meet current bills, also a note for $490 in anticipation of improvement certificates to pay on contract work.
