Full Text

The on-dits from Washington are--that Mr. Secretary Forsyth again cast a scowling look at Mr. Post Master Kendall-that Mr. Woodbury is gathering up his robes for retirement from the Treasury, preparatory to a foreign mission--that Mr. Dickenson will soon retire from the Navy Department and repose upon his laurels at Sunnysucky, in New Jersey—that both Mr. Buchanan and Parson Muhlenberg, of Pennsylvania, are pressing for seats in the Cabinet. B. for the Treasury and M. for the Navy. Both will not be gratified, though every species of bargain will be driven to secure Pennsylvania to the Administration. Mr. Van Buren now casts all his smirks and smiles in that direction, by night and by day.-Balt. Pat.
