Tuesday last we had pretty hard Thunder attended with some Flashes of Lightning great Part of the Day. And from Walpole we hear, That a Flash of Lightning went down the Chimney of Mr. Joseph Dean's House of that Place into a Room where 5 People were sitting, and stunned them all, who lay speechless some Time, but are since happily recovered; it tore the Summer under the Hearth to Pieces, shivered the Bottom of a Chair whereon one of the above Persons were sitting, and killed a Dog instantly that lay on the Hearth. The Explosion was so violent that it shook every Window in the House to Pieces.
