Veterans Council To Open School

A school to train service officers of the increased number of veterans organizations now functioning locally, was approved at the first meeting of the newly organized Washington Veterans' Council, at the American Legion Home last week. The council plans to open such a school shortly, in which service officers will be instructed in the provisions and amendments of the GI Bill of Rights and other points of veterans' legislation, so that they may better assist GI's in meeting their immediate problems. The Council also approved a currently pending bill to award mothers of men who were killed or who died while in service, a Gold Star citation.
