August Hess underwent an operation last week at the Bonners Ferry hospital for the removal of a growth on his eye.
Howard Kent returned last week from western Montana where he had been on a surveying crew for the Bonners Ferry Lumber Company.
James, the son of Mr. and Mrs G. E Andrews, of Copeland, recently underwent an operation at the Bonners Ferry hospital for appendicitis.
The ladies of the Catholic church will meet at the church on Thursday afternoon for the purpose of giving the edifice a thorough cleaning.
Harry Danforth was a business visitor in town several days the past week. He is engaged in the cedar business at Yakt, Mont.
Walter Ott, of Naples, was in the city Wednesday to visit his daughter who recently underwent an operation at the Bonners Ferry hospital.
Ed McConnell and Roy Hupe, both of Addie, were in town Thursday to attend to business matters. Mr. Hupe made a filing on a homestead while in town.
W. J. Hoagland left Thursday for Hussar, Alberta, where he will spend the summer looking after his wheat ranch. Mrs. Hoagland and son will join him in about a week.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto F. Mathiesen are expected here this week from their home at Newport, Wash., and will spend Easter Sunday as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Kinnear.
Herbert Allen arrived here last evening to spend a week visiting at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Tom Williams. He is a student in the North Central high school, of Spokane.
Ethel A. Murdock arrived here yesterday and will hold demonstrations this week at the various groceries of the city, for Olympic flour. Yesterday and today the demonstrations will be at the E. L. Little store: tomorrow and Thursday at White & White's and on Friday and Saturday at Causton Bros.
Owing to the increasing prices of cream, sodas, fruit, sugar, etc., the owners of the ice cream parlors of Bonners Ferry have found it necessary to increase prices, which will become effective April 1. The new prices are still below the prices asked in Spokane, in many instances. The new prices are advertised in the Herald this week.
H. C. Ferbrache, who has under a lease one of the largest orchards of the Northside, has purchased a power spraying outfit which arrived Sunday. The sprayer is operated with a gasoline engine and Mr. Ferbrache states that enough power is developed to run two sprays at the same time. He has many calls to do spraying for orchardists without power sprayers and will contract such work as he will have time to do. Mr. Ferbrache will do the spraying at the Spoerry orchard on the south bench.
