MOONEY IN SUPREME COURT
WASHINGTON. — Confidence that U. S. Supreme Court will finally rule in favor of Tom Mooney was expressed by John F. Finerty, counsel for the famed labor prisoner, speaking at a Washington defense meeting.
Finerty was less optimistic about ruling of the California Supreme Court whose conduct of the recent hearing he has sharply criticized. "They'll say while there was perjury involved in Mooney's conviction, it was not knowingly used by the state," he predicted.
