Full Text

Tanner Chapel
Men's Day was a great success Sunday. Dr. Harold L. Gear, superintendent of Phoenix Union High Schools and Phoenix College, was the guest speaker. At Sunday morning services, Dr. Gear delivered a very interesting and informative message that was not only practical for men, but for women and children as well. His subject was "THE INEVITABILITY OF GROWING UP." One of the main thoughts of his message was molding lives correctly.
We were honored in having the Men's Glee Club of Lucy Phillips C.M.E. Church as our special guests Sunday night.
Saturday night the Youth Choir was entertained by its sponsors. Games were played and refreshments were served. Everyone had an enjoyable time.
Sunday promises to be a great spiritual day with Pastor Hayes back at his post delivering two outstanding sermons. All choirs will sing.
Mrs. Clara T. Moore, Reporter.
