FEDERAL PROHIBITION INSPECTOR HERE

Col. John S. Cunningham of Durham, federal prohibition inspector for North Carolina, was in Hickory today in connection with the liquor business in this section. He called on Mayor Elliott, Chief Lentz and other city officials and inquired about the booze trade in the South Mountains and other places. Colonel Cunningham, who used to visit Hickory as a young man said he had never seen a town grow so well and he recalled that it was often predicted that this city would be a large city some time.
