Statistics of Emigration to California. Between the 7th of December and the 20th of January 99 vessels left ports in the U. States for California with 5619 passengers, including the officers and crew of the vessels. Of the 99 vessels, 80 went via Cape Horn, 14 to Chagres, and the other 5 to Vera Cruz, the Brazos, and the San Juan. There went from New York 52 vessels, from Boston 19, from other New England ports, 10, from Philadelphia 5, from Baltimore 5, from New Orleans 6, and from Norfolk 2.—Ib.
