OHIO.

Last week a man, who seven years ago went with his family from Maine to Ohio, returned with them through this town. He had a one horse wagon. His family consisted of ten persons. He was in good circumstances when he left Maine, drove business largely in Ohio—raised 1500 bushels corn—and when corn was in demand there could exchange 13 bushels of it for a pound of tea, but sometimes the traders would not give more for it than for chips—He had, as usual much sickness in his family, though he lost none of his children. The doctor's bills were answered by giving up his land and buildings. When he left Ohio he bought a pair of oxen for four hundred bushels of corn standing in the field—drove them 100 miles, and sold them for $13—travelled with his family 900 at an expense of 90 dollars, and quite rejoiced that he had got so near home again.
