Boys in Blue With Bayonets Shining
Will Look Their Best Monday
Evening, March 20th.

The officers and enlisted men of
Company K. Second Infantry, popu-
larly known as the Halifax Rifles.
are bending every energy to pass a
creditable inspection on the evening
of March 20th. They have been
drilling very faithfully of late and it
is predicted that they will hold their
own with any other company in the
State.

This, of course, is the most un-
favorable season of the year for in-
spection, especially in a resort town.
as business makes it inconvenient
for many to attend regularly, and
gives but little leisure for the rigid
examination.

The inspection will occur at the
Armory on Monday evening. March
20. at eight o'clock. The public is
cordially invited by the Rifles to be
present and witness the inspection
It is probable that a dance will be
held after the ceremonies are over.
The inspection will be conducted
by Lieut. Col Stevens T Norvell.
U. S. A. retired, and Adjutant Gen-
eral Foster
Besides the Halifax Rifles, the
Field and Staff of the Second Batal-
ion will also appear for inspection on

son.

m. for inspection by Adjutant Gen-

polished, military
collar, white
gloves will be worn
A preliminary inspection will be
held Friday. March 17, at 7:30 p m

tons missing and all buttons bright

Friday night until inspection
All members will be present at in-
spection and none are excused ex-
cept from sickness or equally good
