Wellsburg Girl Drowned at Erie

Special Dispatch to the Intelligencer

WELLSBURG, W. Va., Aug. 14.—

Telegrams received by relatives of Miss Martha S. Everett, of this city, who was visiting friends at Erie, Pa., conveyed the sad news that the popular young high school student was drowned in that city late this afternoon. Details of the drowning were not received. Miss Everett was a member of the class of 1913 of Wellsburg High school and was a talented young lady and a music student of ability.

When drowned Miss Everett was out rowing and fell from the skiff. Her companions made an effort to rescue her but she was drowned before they could reach her.
