—Pitching averages released today
by William McGee, statistician, revealed that Julio Bonetti, Los Angeles ace, leads the pack with eight
wins and one loss, giving him a
percentage of .889.

The Italian
sinker
ball artist
turned in his eighth victory in the
Memorial day double-header against
Oakland.

In second spot was Bill Webber
of Seattle with five and one, followed closely by Wally Hebert of
San Diego, who has seven wins against two defeats.

Tied for fourth spot is lanky Paul
Gregory ace of the Seattle staff,
and Sam Gibson, San Francisco,
the grand old veteran of the Coast
league, each with nine wins and
three losses for a percentage of
.750.

Flores of Los Angeles and Gonzales of San Diego
