Boston, June 30.
LATE FROM BERMUDA.
The Swedish brig gov. Ankerhelm, Gardner, 9 days from Bermuda, arrived at Providence on Monday.— Capt. John Salter, of Portsmouth, a passenger, arrived in town yesterday morning and politely communicated the following information:
That an embargo was laid at Bermuda, May 22, until June 20, in consequence of the fitting out and sailing of an expedition, supposed to be going against Norfolk.
That the expedition, consisting of the following vessels, sailed from Bermuda June 8, viz:
A rocket ship, a bomb ship, and a hospital ship, sailed with the above-mentioned vessels. On board the men of war were about 2700 troops, including 270 Frenchmen, who had deserted from time to time from the French armies.
Nine or 12 American prisoners, including the boatswain of the late U. S. sloop of war Wasp were taken on board the Dragon, to be sent to England, on her arrival at Halifax.
