Full Text

Team Found.—Last night, at a little past twelve o'clock, as a workman came out of the Paper Mill, he found a horse and wagon by the side of the street, near Blood's Locomotive Works. The horse was untied, but the wheels of the carriage were locked into a fence post or tree, so as to stop the animal. The team was taken to Hill & Cilley's stable, where it was recognized as the property of Richard A. Clement of Derry. It is supposed that some one had left him for a time, and he had wandered off; or that his owner had become incapable of managing him, and had given up the reins. The whip and socket were missing, and the wagon seat slightly injured.

At about 11 o'clock a man by the name of Mills claimed the team, saying the horse ran away from him. The City Marshal refused to give up the animal without clear testimony regarding the matter. The Marshal having become satisfied that the claimant was entitled to the team, gave it up.
