Full Text

Extract of a letter from MADRID, March 17.

Our Court seems to have quite given up the proposed attempt of a second expedition against Algiers. All the preparations for that expedition have now another destination, and are said to be intended to watch over our settlements in America, as the war between England and its colonies renders it necessary for all powers who have any settlements in those parts to put them in so secure a situation, that they may be in no danger of suffering from the above-mentioned disputes.
