Full Text

Jan. 27. We are assured by a Correspondent, a Native of Petersburg, that Field Marshal Apraxin, the Russian General, is a polite, well-bred Gentleman, and so far from that Corpulency the Dutch Writers attribute to him, that he is confident their Account must proceed either from Banter or Misinformation; and can Account no otherwise for the Story of the Litter than for the Conveyance of a favourite She bear that he is excellently fond of, which, in Imitation of some Officers in a neighbouring Nation, alike fond of the Puppy, and Monkey, can be for no other Purpose than that of stroking.
