THY WILL BE DONE.

When life is in its rosy morn,

All light, and fair, and gay

And hope's young visions, brightest dawn,

Then teach us, Lord, to say,

Thy will be done.

When nature wears a sadder face,

And on us shines a dimmer ray,

And life begins to wear apace;

Still teach us, Lord, to say,

Thy will be done.

When age comes on with trembling step,

And longer seems the day

And in our hearts have shadows crept,

Then teach us, Lord, to say,

Thy will be done.

When life's last sands are almost run,

And soon our frames shall lay,

Where the shadows fall at setting sun

Then help us, Lord, to say,

Thy will be done.
