Plea Made For Aid To Airline

Rogelio Gomez, manager of the Aerovias Q. Airlines, which have been operating between Key West and Havana, but which recently was grounded by the Civil Aviation Administration at Washington, appeared before City Commissioners last night to request them to use their influence in having the passenger flight service restored.

Mr. Gomez told the commissioners that he felt the service is essential and definitely in the public interest. He requested that they pass a resolution which would call upon Florida congressmen and senators in Washington to make an appeal to the CAA for restoration of Aerovias Q.'s flight service.

A resolution to this effect is now being drafted and will be presented at the special recess meeting of the City Commissioners to be held at 5 p. m., Friday, City Clerk Roy Hamlin said today.
