NEW-YORK, JUNE 9.

On Saturday last the 6th regiment of Militia under the command of Lieut Col. Morton, paraded for inspection before Adjutant General Vanhorne. This regiment is composed of all the uniform companies in this city, and of young men principally. Their elegant appearance, their strict discipline and accurate performance of every military movement, obtained universal applause. It is recommended by the Col. to the companies to adopt the same uniform. The alteration is already begun, and on the 4th July, the field officers and two or three companies will appear in this regimental uniform. which we understand is generally admired.
