CULPEPER WHIG MEETING.-Agreeable to a previous, public notice, the Whigs of Culpeper County, assembled at the Court House, on Monday, the 20th of November, and after having been called to order by Jones Green, Esq., Col. William Hurt was elected Chairman, pro-tem, and William Major, jr., Secretary.

The object of the meeting being explained by Mr. Jones Green, Mr. John Lyne Shackelford rose and addressed the meeting, in a spirited and able speech, after which Mr. Eaton Stanard introduced a preamble and resolutions, which were referred to a committee of six, appointed by the Chairman, consisting of E, Stanard, J. Green, J. Hansborough, W. Green, D. F. Slaughter, and Col. Fishback, who soon thereafter reported through their Chairman, Mr. Stanard, the same resolutions as modified, for the government of the Central Clay Club of Culpeper County: which report was unanimously adopted, as follows :-

Whereas it is deemed expedient and proper to organize the Whigs of Culpeper, by forming a Club, similar to those instituted in other Counties of the State, the Whigs now present with that view do adopt the following resolutions, to wit --

Resolved, That the citizen Whigs present do agree to form a social Club, to be designated the Central Clay Club of Culpeper, which shall embrace every Whig of the County.

Resolved, That the Club shall elect a President who shall keep order when in session, and convene and adjourn the Club from time to time, as a majority then present may advise.

Resolved, That the Club shall elect four Vice Presidents, taking one from each election precinct, or its vicinity, any one of whom shall act as Chairman when in session, in case of the President's absence, or indisposition.

Resolved, That a Secretary shall be elected to keep a journal of the proceedings of the Club, and in case of his absence or sickness, a Secretary pro-tem, shall be chosen to perform the official duties

Resolved, That the customary rules of deliberative bodies, shall regulate the proceedings of the Club when in session.

Resolved, That the Whigs present recommend the organization of a Social Whig Club at each election precinct.

Resolved, That the President: shall select 26 citizen Whigs of the County, who shall constitute a permanent Standing Committee of Vigilance and Correspondence, and the presiding officer may fill vacancies that may occur.

Resolved, That all members of the Club, be requested to communicate when in session whatever they may deem advantageous to the great cause, in which we have mutually and patriotically embarked.

Resolved, That the Central Clay Club of Culpeper, will ever hail with a joyous welcome, any citizen Whig from the adjoining Counties, who may attend their respective sessions.

Resolved, That all contributions shall be voluntarily made to the Secretary, who shall appropriate the same from time to time, as the officers of the Club shall hereafter advise.

Resolved, That the regular session of the Club shall be at the monthly Courts, or at such time as the President may designate. The sessions shall be held in the Court House, or at such place as the presiding officer may advise; and the Central Clay Club of Culpeper County, shall be considered as permanently established, until the 4th day of March, 1845.

After the adoption of the above constitution the following officers were unanimously elected; Dr. Philip C. Slaughter, President; Jones Green, 1st, Jeremiah Morton, 2d, Alfred L. Ashby, 3d. Philagathus Roberts, 4th Vice Presidents; and John W. George, Secretary.

Col. Fishback then moved a resolution which was adopted, requesting the Secretary to forward the proceedings to the Whig editors of Virginia, and request the publication of the same in their respective newspapers: after which, on motion, the assembled Whigs adjourned.
