EL PASO, Texas, Aug. 14 (AP)- The Arizona State league leading Bisbee Bees lost today's game with the El Paso Texans, 7 to 4, in spite of three pitchers' efforts to save the day.
All the Bisbee runs came in the second inning. The Bee batters collected a total of ten hits from the offerings of Salazar, who started and finished on the mound for El Paso.
The Texans were able to make but seven hits off Williams, Barringer and Moncrief, who in turn, performed for Bisbee.
Barringer walked one Texan, Moncrief two. Barringer was charged with the defeat.
Williams, starting Bee hurler, had a perfect batting record, getting two singles in as many tries. Tony Antista, tiny Bisbee outfielder, at bat five times, connected twice, once for a three-bagger and once for two bases.
Bisbee was charged with two errors, by Marlowe and McIsaacs. Salazar made the lone Texan misplay.
