Mrs. Rosa Slade Gragg, daughter of the late Rev. Willis O. Slade and Mrs. Sara B. Slade, is a charming visitor in the Gate City. Founder and president of the Detroit Association Club, basileus of the Sigma Gamma Rho sorority and active member of the National Council of Negro Women and other organizations. Mrs. Gragg will be remembered as one of America's ten leading women and one of the most dynamic forces of character in the Michigan office of Race Relations.
She will be remembered as an orator at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, and one who has lent much to the worthwhile organizations of Detroit, Mich., where she resides.
The beautiful two-story brick club house, owned and occupied by the Detroit Association of Women's Clubs, which is the center of the Detroit women's club life, is a tribute to her noble work as a club leader.
Accompanied by her husband, James Robert Gragg, businessman of Detroit, Mrs. Gragg has spent two weeks with her mother, sisters and brother, James O. Slade, local college instructor and member of the Human Welfare Race Relations office.
The couple will return to Michigan within the next week.
