SEASONABLE WEATHER HELPS TOBACCO CROPS

Tweedys, Va., Feb. 20.-Fine weather prevailed in this section nearly all of last week, and as a consequence farm matter took on a more lively aspect. The somewhat deferred task of breaking ground for spring planting has commenced and other field jobs about the farm are being done.

The warm rain the first of the present week made another excellent tobacco season, and the few who have tobacco on hand are rapidly engaged in getting it in shape for the market. Several farmers from this section were in Lynchburg very recently with tobacco and report prices to be about as satisfactory as formerly.
