The Gold Blossom is one of the new companies to enter this field, and is being financed by a few professional people of Long Beach, Cal., with Attorney Geo. M. Spicer at the head. They started to operate in a virgin formation, under an option given by the Maricopa Queen Oil Co., which owns the 160-acre tract, patented many years ago for farming purposes, with the pine timber thereon as an inducement for purchase.

The property is situated only six miles to the south of Prescott on Indian creek and that particular zone had never been investigated for its mineral possibilities until the present company started to explore croppings that carried rich gold float.
