The Farmers' Railroad.
At a session of the railroad directors held at Crookston, an understanding was arrived at as far as the amount of bonds to be asked of Polk county is concerned. It was decided to ask the citizens of that county to vote bonds to the extent of $250,000, to be used as follows: $100,000 to be given to the Farmers' railroad to assist it in building from Deer river to the eastern boundary, and $75,000 to each of the roads projected across the county, to assist in building said roads across the county.
The conditions for their delivery are as follows: $100,000 to be delivered to the Farmers' railroad upon its completion to Deer river to the eastern line of Polk county; $75,000 to be delivered to each of the other roads upon their completion across Polk county to the Red river. The presidents and attorneys of the different roads were named as a committee to prepare propositions to submit to the people.
