NEW MEMBERS COMING WITH PLAYERS GUILD.
Within a month's time the Davidson will once more house the popular Players Guild stock company which proved so popular with local playgoers during the summers of 1923 and 1924. The opening play will be announced later. Report from the New York offices of the company assures us it will be a comedy of the kind that has proven popular with Guild audiences.
Among the favorites who will return are Elisabeth Risdon, John Thorn, Doris Kelly, John Ravold, Warburton Guilbert and Robert McCarthy. Several newcomers will make their first appearance with the Players Guild, among them Hardwick Nevin, a juvenile, with many successes to his credit; Patricia Barclay, a dainty ingenue from the New York Theater Guild forces, and a new leading man of prominence plus a well known actress in character roles.
Thirty plays have been secured for presentation of which 15 will be selected for performance during the 15 weeks of the Guild's stay in Milwaukee.
