Last Friday Evening Capt. Robins, in a Schooner arrived at Boston, in 7 Weeks and 4 Days from Falmouth in England; by whom we have the following Articles of Intelligence, viz.

TURIN, (In Italy) December 20.

Dr. Tronchin, of Geneva, having been invited to Parma to inoculate Prince Ferdinand, the operation was performed on the 23d of last month; the Prince was perfectly recovered; the Infant has appointed him his first physician, though a protestant; and the corporation of Parma, desirous of giving him a mark of their gratitude, having desired leave of his Royal Highness to admit this celebrated physician, and his descendants, into the order of Noble Citizens; and to erect the doctor's statue in marble in the town-house, with an inscription to perpetuate the remembrance of the service done by him to the state: also to strike a medal in gold, on one side of which is the doctor's image, and on the reverse an allegorical emblem, taken from a comparison of Mons. de la Condamine, on inoculation, which represents a rapid river, in which several swimmers, endeavouring to cross it, are carried away with the stream, with a man on the banks showing another a little boat, in which they may safely get over: the motto from Ovid, tutissimus ibis. The corporation of Placenzia have also desired leave to admit him into the order of Noble Citizens. The Infant has approved of all these proposals. The greatest distinction were paid to the doctor at this court in his passage to Parma, and the King invited him to return this way, and has sent orders through his dominions to accommodate him on his return to Geneva.
