House of Representatives.

Tuesday, January 2.

The house was called, and a sufficient number of members appeared to form a quorum; but no returns being received from New-Castle county, adjourned till 10 o'clock to-morrow.

January 3.

No returns appearing, adjourned till 3 o'clock this afternoon.

3 o'clock, P. M.

Met, and the returns being all present, the house proceeded to the choice of a Speaker, and the ballots being taken, it appeared that S. Lewis was duly elected.—John Fisher was chosen Clerk, and J. Welsh Door Keeper and Serjeant at Arms.—Adjourned.
