Full Text

Harrison, the candidate of North in Indiana, was in the smoking car coming up to Indianapolis. He was in a jocular humor, comparing his chances with those of "Blue Jeans Jimmy" Williams. "If I am among Germans," said Harrison, "I can speak a little German, and there I have the advantage of Jimmy. If I see a Frenchman I can talk a little French, and there I have the advantage of Jimmy. I can talk money to moneyed men, and there I have the advantage of him. But, after all, Jimmy Williams is an honest, straightforward fellow." "Yes," said an old farmer with a wide-awake hat on a wide-awake head who sat near, "and there Jimmy has the advantage of you."--New York World.
