Mr. Editor--The Republicans, generally, regretted to see in your last paper, a note from Daniel P. Drown, Esq. declining to stand as a candidate for County Treasurer. Had not Mr. Drown been absent from town, when your paper went to press, he would have been requested, in consequence of information received from the western part of the county, to withdraw the note. The candidate nominated for County Treasurer, at the Epping Convention, and the irregular and improper proceedings of that convention and other circumstances, have produced such impressions among our republican friends, that they are determined to support Daniel P. Drown, Esq. for County Treasurer, and Col. Seth Walker, for Register, and for that purpose votes have been printed and forwarded to such towns to which we have had opportunity to send. We hope that the republicans in all the towns in the county will be supplied with votes for Messrs. Drown and Walker; and that they will give those gentlemen their undivided support. The opposition to Mr. Drown, is considered to be ungenerous and illiberal, and originated in an influence which is now completely put down in the eastern section of the State:
