Full Text

The last Correspondent says: "We hope our neighbor will preserve his equanimity, in glancing at the numerous changes which we weekly publish to cheer the hearts of our democratic readers." Oh, certainly, sir. If such means as a reiteration of the refuted falsehoods of the "changes" of such men as S. S. Prentiss, D. O. Shattuck, Senator Merrick, J. V. L. M'Mahon, J. R. Ingersoll and others, are actually required "to cheer the hearts of your democratic readers," whistle away, we have not the least objection.
