At the first meeting of the Noble county commissioners, Monday, W. C. Toad Davis, newly elected member, was named president, C. H Rayner will serve as vice president and H. G. Williams as the third member.
Monday of each week was designated as the regular meeting date of this board. On the third Thursday of every month, they will visit the Noble county home.
Dr. E. G. Ditch was named as county doctor for all county wards at the rate of $4.00 per trip to any place in the county.
The commissioners fixed the price of boarding children for the year 1947 at $4.00 per week. Ernest Weekley was also employed as a street cleaner.
For the first time in the history of the county, the commissioners appointed a Child Welfare board with four members. It will be comprised of Aileen Tilton, who will serve four years; F. C. Stiles, three years; J. K. Walkenshaw, two years and Irl S. Nichelson, one year.
Alden Tilton was named relief director for Noble county at a salary of $100.00 per month
Maywood Love was given the contract to furnish, haul and spread 50 cubic yards of stone at $2.50 per cubic yard. Stone will be place on the Factory Hollow road. Total contract price was $125.00.
