London, March 18. On Thursday the West India Merchants attended the House of Commons with their Petition, complaining of the Depredations of the Spaniards, and the Injuries they have sustained in their Shipping and Merchandize, by their Vessels being taken and plunder'd by the Spanish Guarda Costas; after the Reading whereof, several Merchants, Owners, and Commanders were called in and examined by the House, as to the Allegations of their Petition; and after satisfactory Answers given to the Questions, and much Time spent therein, the Affair was adjourned 'til Thursday next, or a further Hearing.
