SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN KICKS THE LIFE OUT OF A NEGRO BOY.

Three Other Negroes Being Chased by Would-Be Lynchers—An Assortment of Criminal News.

BAY MINETTE, Ala., Dec. 29.—A most brutal crime was committed near here last night. Tim Thompson, a little negro boy, was asked to dance for the amusement of some white toughs. He refused, saying he was a church member. Jim Jostling, one of the men, knocked him down with a club and then danced with his feet upon his prostrate form. He then shot the boy in the hip. The boy is dead and his murderer is still at large.
