SUICIDE.
On the 11th inst. the wife of John Cutler of Montpelier, having returned from visiting a neighbor, observed to some persons present, that she must go and feed her pigs, which were shut up in the barn, she accordingly proceeded to the barn, fed her pigs, took off her bonnet and shawl and hung herself. She has left an afflicted husband and four small children to lament the fatal effects of fanaticism. A fanatic had been visiting and preaching to this poor woman, till she was driven to such distress of mind as to try this dreadful alternative; no other reason can be given by her friends and neighbours for the fatal catastrophe.
