Full Text
The suit instituted by Mrs. Henry Marshall of Christiana village against Arthur G. Webber, is another evidence of the persecuting spirit which exists among the members of many churches in different sections of our country. Certain parties are always ready to fight if they cannot have their own way. Such Christians need to be converted a second time before they can exhibit the love that should be felt by the true followers of Christ. They should exercise a greater degree of charity, as without charity according to St. Paul, their professions become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. By their acts they shall be known. We do not expect grapes from thorns or figs from thistles. A little more religion will settle the whole difficulty without appealing to the courts.
