Buddy Veeder spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reuhman.

E. L. Williams shipped 51 head of calves to Marshalltown, Iowa, Monday.

Mrs. G. Nathe called at the home of Mrs. Frank Brown Thursday morning.

Mr. Pacey assisted Gerhard Nathe with work at the O. K. Ranch last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Veeder spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Soltau.

Henry Parker and W. H. Rathe spent Monday and Tuesday in Minneapolis on business.

Harold Brager went to Detroit where he witnessed the baseball games of the World Series.

Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Pangburn motored to Long Prairie Sunday where they visited with friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hultgren of Fergus Falls, spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Minnie Mullen.

Mrs. H. G. Brager went to Fosston last week where she visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Fysse.

Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Holman, of Denver, Col., spent Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Dahlem.

Miss Evelyn Taber, of Alexandria, spent Sunday in this city with her uncle and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Steege.

Martin Burns, of Minneapolis, arrived Wednesday for a short time at the home of Dr. and Mrs. H. J. Woodbridge.

Mrs. Alice Rose went to Fergus Falls Monday where she is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hultgren and family.

Howard Allen has returned to Dawson, N. D., after a month's vacation spent here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Allen.

Mr. and Mrs. Alan Meigs motored to St. Paul Friday and visited Saturday with the lady's parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Miller.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. George W. Greene, Jr., a 10-pound baby boy, on Saturday, October 6th. Mother and baby are getting along nicely.

Mrs. William Bugbee, of Paynesville, spent Wednesday with Mrs. L. L. Kells and attended the luncheon at the Episcopal Parish House.

Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Unger and son, Billy, spent Sunday and Monday in Minneapolis, with the lady's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Ahrens.

Clarence L. Smith, Democratic nominee for Clerk of the Minnesota Supreme Court, was in Sauk Centre Wednesday getting acquainted with the local voters.

Mrs. Chas. Allen submitted to an operation for gall stones at the St. Cloud hospital Tuesday. Mr. Allen returned Tuesday evening and stated that she was getting along as well as could be expected.

Henry Johnson, twin son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Johnson, was taken to the St. Cloud hospital Saturday where he submitted to an operation. Last reports stated that the boy was gaining satisfactorily.

Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Nelson, of Minneapolis, spent Saturday in this city with the lady's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Rydholm. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson were enroute to Upsala where the latter's parents reside.

Mrs. John Kuschner and son, Albin, and Miss Haagrud, all of Duluth, spent a few days last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. O. Vogel. Miss Haagrud continued on to Morris and attended the wedding of her sister.

Miss Lucille Rander, of Round Prairie, was a week end guest of Miss Vera Mae Jackson. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Jackson and family took the young lady to her home and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rander that evening.

Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Broad and baby, Patricia, of Crookston, spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Borgmann in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Broad were on their way to Amery, Wis., where the gentleman has purchased the newspaper.

Dr. A. F. Moynihan and J. A. Schoenhoff motored to St. Cloud Monday afternoon where they attended a meeting of the Democratic County Committee at which Jos. Moonan, manager of the Regan for Governor campaign, was present and was a speaker.

Dr. and Mrs. R. E. Cooper and Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Rathe motored to Bertha Monday evening where Dr. and Mrs. Cooper attended a banquet and meeting of the Todd County Dental Association. Mr. and Mrs. Rathe spent the evening visiting with old friends.

Alfred Bromenshenkel spent Saturday and Sunday with his parents, arriving from St. John's University. He returned Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Unger, Jr., of St. Cloud, who had been visiting with the lady's parents, at Sisseton, S. D.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith, of Onawa, Iowa, spent Thursday until Saturday of last week in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Taylor. Miss Phyllis Smith, who has been a guest there for the past three weeks, returned to her home with them on Saturday.

J. N. Jackson and his mother Mrs. Louis Jackson, motored to the Twin Cities Monday morning, where the lady visited with relatives. Mr. Jackson attended the session of Grand Chapter held Monday and Tuesday, and returned home Tuesday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Viggo Larsen received a message Tuesday evening stating that the latter's mother, Mrs. Swenson, of Clifford, N. D., had suffered a stroke. Mr. and Mrs. Larsen left early Wednesday morning for Fargo where the stricken lady has been taken by her son.

Mrs. Edna Suckow, of Miltona, and her father, Scott Wilcox, of Alexandria, Miss Lettie Wilcox, and Mrs. George Cumming, of this city, drove Sunday to Coleraine where they visited their nephew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beidleman. The party returned to their respective homes last Tuesday.
