BERLIN, Oct. 18. - Dr. Wilhelm Solf, former governor of Samoa, colonial minister in the old regime, and the first foreign minister after the revolution, has been definitely picked German ambassador to Great Britain, according to a report circulated in parliamentary quarters here today.

Dr. Solf, who had been away from Berlin for some time, returned a couple of days ago and called on President Ebert, Chancellor Bauer and Foreign Minister Mueller, which is taken as confirmation of the report.
