Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kenyon and their son, Kenneth, who are traveling around the world will be interested in news received from them by Mrs. Herbert Low-Germilk of this city.
In a letter written October 10 Mrs. Kenyon gave a splendid picture of their stay in Honolulu, of their being greeted by a native band on arrival, of their trip through the island which she calls "a tropical paradise beyond description." They went swimming at Waikiki and left the island at sunset, laden with flowers and with the strains of Hawaiian music in the distance.
The Kenyons at the time of writing expected to dock at Japan within the next three days, and after a tour of that country, take a boat trip to Northern China. Their progress through China is dependent upon war conditions but from China they go to other oriental countries arriving in Rome, Italy, for Christmas. New Year's eve is to be spent in Paris, and from a tour of Europe they will go to the British Isles.
The weather, the writer stated, had been perfect, with the sea so smooth that no one had been ill. Warm days were experienced as the boat drew closer to the Orient and everyone was wearing summer clothes. The Kenyons sailed on the President Hoover of the Dollar line which they state is a splendid, luxurious ship.
