Starting up of the Sprague Mills,

We are happy in being able to announce to our readers this morning, that the Sprague cotton factory in this city will resume operations on Monday next, September 4th. Col. DeWitt, the agent here, had a telegram from Mr. Chaffee, on Tuesday, asking how soon sufficient help could be got together for starting the factory. The Colonel replied promptly that arrangements could be made for starting up on Monday. A telegram, in reply, was received from Mr. Chaffee, yesterday, ordering the starting up of the mills on Monday. This will be good news for the entire business community, more especially for those who were thrown out of employment by the suspension a few weeks ago. No doubt the mills will keep in operation all winter, as there are bright prospects of cotton mills paying the coming season.
