I am happy to hear of the pleasing revival and attention to religion in New-Hampshire, Massachusetts, &c. It is what my soul has long waited and wished for. Our City, I trust is receiving some precious drops of the divine influence. Many young and respectable characters, are owning their Lord and Master. Perhaps so much attention to religion has not been known since the time of Mr. Whitefield; and my letters from the Southward continue to encourage me that the blessed work is gloriously progressing there. O that God would in mercy so display his power, that the stoutest hearts, and the stiffest knees, may be bent before his august Majesty; and that the whole earth may soon be filled with his triumphant power and goodness, as it relates to sinful man. I would proceed on the pleasing subject but the business of the morning is coming on, and I must bid you an affectionate adieu.
