Dr. Purcell Killed in Auto Accident

Dr. Walter B. Purcell, one of the leading physicians of Tucson, was instantly killed by the overturning of his automobile Sunday out on the road to the Twin Buttes mine about twenty miles from Tucson. He lay for four hours pinned under the machine, his neck having been broken in the accident.

Deputy Sheriff Earle and four miners at the Twin Buttes mine, previously notified by telephone of the tragedy, hastened to the scene on a handcar, lifted the heavy weight from Dr. Purcell's body, and brought the remains into Tucson on the handcar.
