Unseat Stockwell?

It is reported that certain groups of independents in the legislature are considering a move to "unseat" S. A. Stockwell, dean of the House liberals. It is claimed that Rep. Stockwell has not resided in his district for the past six months.

Well, as far as we are concerned at this distance, the true facts of the case are not known, but Rep. Stockwell's past record of integrity and sincerity of purpose causes us to "string along" with him until the legal status of the situation is definitely known.

Too many times conservatives have taken it onto themselves to curb activities of influential liberals and it might be so this time; we shall see.

At any rate, in his many years of service to the state of Minnesota, S. A. Stockwell has added to the prestige of our lawmaking body rather than having detracted from it. We hope the true legal status will be found in his favor.
